Professional Bio

Kevin McMillin is the Project Manager for the Cross-Program Integrated Data System (CPIDS) at NASA Ames Research Center. He oversees the strategic design, development, and operational deployment of integrated software applications which enable NASA personnel and partner teams to engineer, analyze, and make decisions with their data more efficiently.

Kevin began his career at Ames in 2012 supporting Exploration Systems Development and the International Space Station with the San Jose State University Research Foundation. He played a pivotal role in developing and deploying software applications used for ground processing, maintenance, and launch operations for NASA’s Artemis I mission. Since 2019, he has served as the Deputy Lead for Data Integration within the Moon to Mars organization—guiding efforts to strengthen cross-program data accessibility, improve decision-making processes, and ensure data continuity across Artemis missions.

Raised in Ottumwa, Iowa, Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Arizona State University and a Master of Human–Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University.
