OCEANOS 2024 High School Class

Fifteen high school interns from the 2024 OCEANOS class pose with instructors at Playa Melones, Culebra, just before entering the water. Here, students are learning about coral reef ecology, taking water quality measurements using sensors they built two weeks prior, and performing coral surveying by taking detailed photos of the sea floor to stitch into a high-resolution mosaic.
