Turbulence Resolving Simulations

Progression on stall beyond CLmax (at 19.5 degrees) due to the onset of inboard corner flow separation, visualized using streamtraces based on surface friction. Models using WMLES show excellent agreement with observations in aerodynamic loads, including the prediction of the pitch break, highlighting the onset of an inboard stall consistent with the oil flow and mini-tufts observations from the wind tunnel.
