Nearly 40 years after their historic flight, the crew of Apollo 8 reunited as part of a special public program produced in cooperation with the Newseum in Washington, D.C.
The Apollo 8 crew – commander Frank Borman (second from left), James Lovell and William Anders – discussed with Nick Clooney (far left), the Newseum’s distinguished journalist in residence, their December 1968 lunar orbital mission and how its success contributed to the overall moon landing effort that culminated just six months later with Apollo 11.
