Nina Wang has more than a decade of experience in financial reporting and analysis, financial statement audits, and internal controls. Currently, she is an accountant in the Data Analysis Branch within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer and on a one-year detail as a Program Analyst in the Resources Management Office within the Space Technology Mission Directorate.

Previously, she was a financial statement auditor and financial management consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG, respectively. She holds a bachelor of science in accounting and information systems from Virginia Tech, and is a certified project management professional and a certified government financial manager. In addition to supporting the HQ Asian American and Pacific Islander (HAAPI) Employee Resource Group (ERG) Leadership Team, she also serves on the HQ Women of NASA (WON) ERG Steering Committee.

Wang’s volunteer activities cross a broad spectrum from being a YMCA 4-H program manager at Virginia Tech, a Best Buddies volunteer, and a member of the YMCA Alternative Spring Break team.

In this image, Wang (front right) is part of the NASA and industry team that received the 2017 Certification of Excellence in Accountability Reporting (CEAR) award, which is given to organizations that effectively illustrate and assess program performance with both accomplishments and challenges, and the cost of that performance, in clearly communicated formats. Congress, the Office of Management and Budget, the Department of the Treasury and the General Accounting Office recognize CEAR as evidence of a complete presentation of an agency’s programmatic and financial affairs.
