Sky for All envisions system-wide paradigm shifts and architectures designed to facilitate the integration of diverse applications and new mission-oriented operations, safely and sustainably. New vehicles with unique performance characteristics can optimize new operations and missions, alongside more traditional aircraft. The current traffic management system, built on technology and constraints of the previous century, will be unable to keep pace with advancements in autonomy, communications, and other emerging technologies. Initial work on Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) research has shown us the possibilities. Sky for All builds a foundation for a future airspace ecosystem that will allow these possibilities and so much more.
