Trailblazer Award

This award is used to recognize employees who are in the early stages of their career. Awardees must demonstrate strong work ethic and creative, innovative thinking in support of human spaceflight.

CRITERIA

Trailblazer Award

Credits: NASA

This award is presented to NASA and NASA contractor employees in any field (technical, professional, etc.) supporting human space flight during the first seven years of an individual’s career.  In addition, potential awardees must meet two or more criteria below:

  1. Characterize innovation or creative initiative that demonstrates a significant contribution to the employees’ organization in support of NASA’s mission and goals.
  2. Identify new, creative solutions to problems.
  3. Embody strong work ethic including loyalty, honesty and integrity.
  4. Works collaboratively with others to achieve a goal in support of NASA’s mission.
  5. Demonstrates steps towards establishing long-term vision and strategy.

The SFA Trailblazer Award is not intended for supervisors and managers at the branch chief level and above or equivalent levels within industry.  This award may not be presented to an awardee but once.
