SBIR/STTR Phase II

Phase II is focused on the development, demonstration, and delivery of a technology innovation. These awards are made to small businesses (and their research institution partners in STTR) who successfully demonstrated the feasibility of their technology idea during Phase I. Only small businesses that were awarded a Phase I are eligible to apply for Phase II.

Submissions to the 2024 NASA SBIR Phase II solicitation were accepted through February 14, 2025; selections are expected to be announced in late April 2025. The 2024 NASA STTR Phase II solicitation is scheduled for Summer/Fall 2025; dates will be announced soon.

2023 STTR Phase II

On November 22, 2024, NASA selected 21 small businesses and their research institution partners to receive 2023 STTR Phase II awards, worth up to $850,000 each plus up to $50,000 in Technical and Business Assistance (TABA) funds. All of the selected teams successfully completed their Phase I concept development periods, and will now move on to develop technology prototypes in a variety of areas to help our missions in space and here on Earth.
