GeneLab for High Schools
GeneLab for High Schools (GL4HS) is a summer training program for rising high school juniors and seniors hosted by NASA’s Ames Research Center (Mountain View, CA) on a virtual platform.
This year, the program is scaling up to accommodate more high school student participants than ever before! GL4HS is now being offered asynchronously and will consist of 12-weeks of on-demand training during the summer. Program dates will be June 2 through August 29, 2025. High School transcripts will be required with all applications – digital (scanned) copies in PDF format only will be accepted with the online form.
Application Deadline: 11:59pm Pacific on May 15, 2025 or EARLIER if the maximum number of applications has been reached

NASA Space Life Sciences Training Program
The Space Life Sciences Training Program (SLSTP) provides undergraduate students entering their junior or senior years, and entering graduate students, with professional experience in space life science disciplines. This challenging ten-week summer program is hosted by NASA’s Ames Research Center in the heart of California’s Silicon Valley. The primary goal of the program is to train the next generation of scientists and engineers, enabling NASA to meet future research and development challenges in the space life sciences. NASA Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM)
OSTEM internships offer students an opportunity to gain practical work experience while working side-by-side with mentors who are research scientists, engineers, and individuals from many other professions. Internships may be full time or part time; and, they may be on a NASA center or facility, or even working from your home or dorm. Join our NASA team and gain valuable on-the-job experience, build your resume, and strengthen your career readiness. We offer three sessions annually, so visit our website often for opportunities.
