Wes Mosedale

Senior NASA Test Director, Exploration Ground Systems

Wes Mosedale is a senior test director with NASA’s Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) Program at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Prior to this, he was the technical assistant to the Artemis I launch director, assisting the launch director in the technical coordination of launch-related content with the Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft, as well as the integration of launch-related requirements.

Experience

He began his career at Kennedy with United Space Alliance in 2003 as an engineer for the space shuttle orbiter and solid rocket booster hydraulic systems. In 2008, he became a civil servant, working as a NASA test director in the Shuttle Launch and Landing office. He stepped into his current role in Aug. 2020.

Education

Mosedale graduated from Manteo High School in Manteo, North Carolina, in 1998. He has a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University and a Master of Science in engineering management from the University of Central Florida.

Personal

Mosedale currently lives in Merritt Island, Florida, with his wife, Stephanie, and two daughters, Madison and Bailey.
