José Morel is an Aerospace Engineer in the Space Mission Analysis Branch (SMAB) at NASA Langley, with experience spanning Systems Analysis, Model-Based Systems Engineering, and Mechanical Design. His current work focuses on modeling architectures for human missions to the Moon and Mars, as well as evaluating the capabilities and impacts of In-space Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing (ISAM) technologies.
Prior to joining SMAB, José was the inaugural member of NASA Langley’s Early Career Cohort Program, a rotational program where he contributed to the development and testing of large-scale composite boom systems for solar sails and lunar infrastructure.
