Professional Bio

Ivy has been a software developer at the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) Group at NASA Ames Research Center since 2010; currently under contract through ASRC Federal.

She’s the Technical Lead and Senior Software Developer for Playbook, a planning software platform which supports several NASA Analog Missions including CHAPEA, HERA and previously NEEMO to research future exploration concepts like scheduling crew autonomy. In collaboration with JPL, she’s the Co-Cognizant engineer for COCPIT, the planning tool for the Perseverance Rover, and a software developer for the Aerie planning tool supporting Europa Clipper. She has also previously built planning tools for several NASA missions, including the International Space Station and Mars Science Laboratory.
