Professional Bio

Charles works as a software developer in the Airspace Operations Lab (AOL) at NASA Ames Research Center (ARC).  His projects involve supporting research efforts focused on unmanned aircraft, either in collaboration with wildland firefighters (ACERO and STEReO) or providing planning and real-time information to drone operators (SWS).   Previously he spent several years working on the UAS in the NAS project helping integrate unmanned aircraft into the national airspace.  Long before that he studied planetary science and cosmology at New Mexico State University.
