NASA Chief Technologist Douglas Terrier (bottom) discusses NASA technologies during a virtual event with the University of Arkansas students Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020. The dialogue – organized by the European Institute for Innovation and Sustainability in partnership with the University of Arkansas Rome Center in Italy and ENEL X – focused on technologies needed for NASA’s Artemis missions to the Moon, spinoff technologies that benefit life on Earth, and the expansive and growing global commercial spaceflight industry and resulting innovations and breakthroughs. Terrier also took questions from students during the event, which can be viewed on YouTube.
