NASA has awarded a contract extension to SGT Inc., of Greenbelt, Maryland, for engineering support under the Omnibus Multidiscipline Engineering Services (OMES) contract.
This is a cost-plus fixed-fee, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract extension with a one-month base period and five one-month options that will allow time to transition to the recently awarded OMES II contract. As a result of this extension, the current contract value is increased by $48.3 million to a total value of $691.3 million and the period of performance is extended through Dec. 1.
The Contractor will continue to support the Applied Engineering and Technology Directorate, located at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. The work includes engineering services for the study, design, systems engineering, development, fabrication, integration, testing, verification and operations of spaceflight, airborne, and ground system hardware and software, including development and validation of new technologies to enable future space and science missions. Programs currently supported include the Joint Polar Satellite System program and the Satellite Servicing Projects Division, in addition to in-house and out-of-house instrument and spacecraft programs.
