OSDR is proud to unveil a major upgrade with the launch of the new Visualization Home Page, now serving as the central hub for all OSDR visualization tools. Designed to mirror the style of OSDR’s primary site, the homepage offers an intuitive, category-based app directory and standardized styling through reusable endpoints—ensuring a seamless experience across platforms. Notably, several visualization apps have received impactful updates: the GeneLab Visualization App now supports enhanced multi-study PCA plotting and improved grouping controls; the Environmental Data Application (EDA) tool is fully integrated with the new homepage; and the NBISC Search Portal features streamlined filters, refined data tables, and a refreshed database. Additionally, the portal features the RadLab app, which allows users to explore radiation dosimetry data from multiple space agencies, and the new data API, offering streamlined access to complex space biology datasets through a user-friendly, robust interface.

These powerful visualization tools help researchers explore biological responses to spaceflight in more dynamic and integrated ways, from omics data to biospecimen metadata. By enabling better understanding of how space conditions affect living systems at molecular, cellular, and physiological levels, these tools support the development of countermeasures and health strategies essential for long-duration space missions. As NASA advances toward a sustained presence on the Moon and Mars, the enhanced OSDR Visualization Portal empowers scientists around the world to contribute to unlocking the biological mysteries of space through accessible, open data exploration.

So come check out the new and improved portal!
