Expedition 33
Human research studies during Expedition 33 investigated microgravity's affect on the spinal cord and the immune system. The crew also evaluated new exercise techniques to offset the effects of living long-term in space. New software tested alternate space-to-ground communications and an Earth observations study monitored the effects of floods, fires, and volcanos.
