Ember Collection Cameras

Cameras mounted inside an ember collection box used during the April 2025 FireSense prescribed research campaign. The emberometer, as the team calls it, was built at the University of Edinburgh's Fire Science Laboratory, and is deployed to provide information on the dispersion of embers during a fire. Michael Gallagher, fire ecologist with the U.S. Forest Service who led the ember work, was part of the Fire Behavior team during the April 2025 FireSense campaign.
