Fira Island

iss070e044900 (Dec. 23, 2023) -- The capital of Santorini, Fira Island, was photographed as the International Space Station orbited 259 miles above. The specs of white lining the edge of the caldera are actually whitewashed houses built on terrain that reaches roughly 1,300 feet (~400 meters) high.
