
A Snow-Capped Mount Fuji
iss070e029669 (Nov. 23, 2023) -- The tallest mountain in Japan, Mount Fuji, was pictured as the International Space Station orbited 260 miles above. The summit of the active stratovolcano spends five months out of the year covered in snow, reaching over 12,000 feet (~3,700 meters) in elevation.
