In the foreground, is a set of the space station's main solar arrays (left), the Kibo laboratory module (right), and Kibo's External Platform that houses experiments exposed to the vacuum of space. The orbital outpost was soaring 259 miles above the Pacific Ocean southeast of Japan going into a sunset.
