NASA's Operation IceBridge team departed Wallops Flight Facility March 18, 2015, for its Arctic campaign, which is scheduled to run through May 22.

Wayne Jester, ground support equipment mechanic, assists as ground guide while moving a C-130 from hangar N-159 at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility March 18 in preparation for takeoff to Thule Air Base, Greenland, in support of NASA’s Operation IceBridge. Operation IceBridge, an airborne survey of polar ice, conducted its first campaign in 2009, and has flown two campaigns each year since, one to survey the Arctic and one to survey the Antarctic.
