Explanation or story behind the patch: During the F-18 HARV project, we had several visiting Australians who were participating in the project. During this time, we worked with the DSRO (Defense Scientific Research Organization) of the Australian Ministry of Defense, notably Jan Drobik (who came to the US and worked here at NASA Dryden for two years). The Australians fly F/A-18 aircraft in their Air Force.
