Explanation or story behind the patch: Walt Kondracki designed a patch that had NASA eagle keeper on it as a take from the old F-15 eagle keeper patch that he wore many, many years ago as an F-15 maintainer in the Air Force; he used these for individuals that helped the F-15 program here at NASA at his own cost. Tom liked that idea and asked Tony to develop a F-15 patch for NASA. Later both patches were incorporated on a coin that the gift shop sold for a few years.
