On June 14, NASA’s Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2, or OCO-2, was lifted up the side of a mobile service tower. In a clean room atop the tower, it will be encapsulated into the payload fairing of the United Launch Alliance Delta II rocket, which is already inside the tower. OCO-2 is at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, being prepared for launch on July 1.
