NASA Brings Science of Space Down to Earth for 2015 World Science Festival
NASA engineer Anthony Calomino explains a new inflatable heat shield technology to Beatrix Madell, 6, who came to the World Science Festival with her mom Saturday, May 30. The Madells, who are from Brooklyn, attend anything space related because daughter Beatrix plans to be an astronaut some day. NASA brought a variety of interactive, hands-on activities and exhibits to the more than 100,000 visitors who attended this year’s World Science Festival in New York Wednesday, May 27 through Sunday, May 31.
