Under the National Historic Preservation Act (36 CFR 800), Love Ranch is a potential historical property. We have documented the ranch over the years to help preserve the rich history of home steading activities in New Mexico. The ranch operated from the early 1900s until approximately 1960 and was owned by Dr. Love and his family until it was acquired by the federal government under a lease agreement.
