Project: External Vision System
A High-Definition (HD) display was mounted on top of the rear instrument panel in NASA’s F/A-18 Systems Research Aircraft (SRA). NASA partnered with Gulfstream on the External Vision System project. This project demonstrated the use of a high-definition video camera and monitor system on the SRA to identify human factor aspects associated with reduced visibility from the cockpit.
