Late afternoon clouds on a winter afternoon provide a dramatic backdrop in this front view of the new Facilities Support Center at NASA’s Dryden Flight Research Center. Desert landscaping around the building is intended to minimize water usage with drought-tolerant shrubbery. The 38,000-square-foot structure was designed to meet the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) new construction platinum certification for environment and energy efficiency.
