DARPA Aircrew Labor In-Cockpit Automation System (ALIAS) consultants Mark Nowack and Joe Edwards, a retired astronaut who flew on the space shuttle Endeavour during STS-89 in 1998, recently visited NASA Langley. While here to talk about shared interests in advanced cockpit technologies, they got a tour of the hangar and other facilities.
NASA Langley has a more than 90-year history of cockpit technology research and innovation that is continuing into the 21st century.
