Shortly after landing at Edwards Air Force Base in California, at the completion of STS-68, the space shuttle Endeavour receives a high-flying salute from shuttle Columbia atop NASA’s Shuttle Carrier Aircraft.
Columbia was being ferried from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida to Air Force Plant 42 in Palmdale, California, for several months of inspections, modifications, and systems upgrades.
