Join Us for the Artemis II Crew Announcement NASA Social

Editor’s Note: Applications for this event are now closed. Be among the first to know about future NASA Socials by visiting our web page.
Social media users are invited to register for a chance to take part in our global NASA Social for the Artemis II astronaut naming announcement at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. The NASA Social event will take place April 3-4, with the announcement taking place at 11 a.m. EST on Monday, April 3.

Naming the Artemis II astronauts, who will orbit the Moon and return to Earth aboard the Orion spacecraft, will be a crucial step toward our goal of establishing a long-term human presence on the Moon. The NASA Social attendees will have an opportunity to attend the announcement, meet the Artemis II astronauts, and tour Johnson Space Center. Through Artemis missions, NASA will land the first woman and the first person of color on the Moon, paving the way for a long-term lunar presence and serving as a stepping stone to send astronauts to Mars.

If your passion is to communicate and engage the world via social media, then this is the event for you! Seize the opportunity to blog, tweet, post or simply share everything about the Artemis mission.

NASA Social participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet the Artemis II astronauts
  • Tour NASA facilities at Johnson Space Center
  • Meet fellow space enthusiasts who are active on social media
  • Meet and interact with Artemis subject matter experts

NASA Social registration for the Artemis II crew naming announcement opens on Friday, March 10, and the deadline to apply is at noon EDT on Tuesday, March 14. All social applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
