Facility Capabilities

The Solid Propulsion Test Area (SPTA) was built in 1989 as a solid propulsion motor test bed. The stand uses a 48-in. diameter modified NASA (MNASA) motor with a thrust of 100K lbf to generate a solid propellant motor environment.
