Professional Bio

John is a human factors researcher in the Human-Computer Interaction Group at NASA Ames Research Center, where he focuses on developing and designing crew-facing displays. His research has included topics such as self-scheduling, augmented reality training, and augmented feedback to improve crew autonomy during long-duration space missions. He is a co-investigator on several Human Research Program (HRP) funded grants, a Project Manager within the Earth-Independent Operations Domain under the Mars Campaign Office, and is the Software, Automation, and Robotics Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Human Health and Performance Directorate for the Human Landing System (HLS).
