Todd Stinchfield

Todd Stinchfield was a career C-17A pilot before retiring from the Air Force to come to the NASA Ames Research Center. He held a variety of challenging leadership roles in the Air Force culminating in becoming the Division Chief of Mobility Test Operations at the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center at Edwards Air Force Base, CA. In that role, he oversaw the execution of operational test and evaluation programs for the Boeing KC-46A aerial refueling tanker, eT-7A Advanced Pilot Training system, and the new Air Force One replacement (Boeing VC-25B).

Todd has been at Ames since November 2020 and is currently the Deputy Project Manager for the Wildfire project.  Additionally, he supports the ISS Cell Science project, the Convergent Aeronautics Solutions Weather Toleration Operations workshop and is partnering with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency on Energy Web Dominance.

Todd has a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Washington.
