STS086-729-076 (25 Sept-6 Oct. 1997) --- The helmet visor of astronaut Scott F. Parazynski reflects the space shuttle Atlantis’ cargo bay and Russia’s Mir Space Station as well as Earth’s horizon. Astronauts Parazynski and Vladimir G. Titov, both STS-86 mission specialists, spent several hours retrieving Mir Environmental Effects Packages (MEEP) which had been exposed to the space environment around Mir’s permanent Docking Module (DM) since September of 1996.
