Dr. Stephen B. Johnson – NESC Academy Biography

Dr. Stephen Johnson is an associate research professor with the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. His is also the analysis lead for Mission and Fault Management on the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Space Launch System program, led by NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, and the President of Dependable System Technologies, LLC.

Dr. Johnson is the general editor for System Health Management: with Aerospace Applications (2011), the author of The Secret of Apollo: Systems Management in American and European Space Programs (2002), and many other articles and books in system health management, systems engineering, and space history.
