Vance Benton

Vance Benton currently serves as a project coordinator with NASA’s Center of Excellence for Collaborative Innovation (CoECI). He spent his first 5 years of civil service in the Johnson Space Center Office of Procurement as a Contract Specialist/Contracting Officer. In this role, he awarded and administered a wide variety of government procurement instruments. During that time, he also served as the Acquisition Team Lead for the Exploration Extravehicular Mobility Unit (xEMU) project responsible for the development of requirements, acquisition forecast summaries, acquisition strategies, acquisition process and process improvements, communication, and coordination of integrated actions. Prior to NASA, Vance served 15 years on active duty in the U.S. Army as a Combat Medic/Physical Therapy Assistant.

Vance received his B.S. in Psychology from Grand Canyon University and his M.A. in Procurement and Acquisitions Management from Webster University.
