The Resources Management Division (RMD) provides effective and efficient institutional support to enable the successful accomplishment of the mission objectives of the organization through providing stewardship of major institutional operations; integrating resources, infrastructure, processes, and advocating for institutional capabilities and needs; and optimizing mission support services through strategic initiatives. RMD’s wide range of responsibilities includes budget management, human resources, training, information technology, facilities, continuity of operations, audits, directives, and performance management.
RMD organizes, directs, and coordinates high-level protocol activities for international visits, ensuring that international guests are integrated into the NASA system.
RMD provides oversight for operational and policy initiatives involving NASA representatives and overseas offices; and serves as liaison to the Department of State regarding overseas staffing, security, facilities, and participation in the International Cooperative Administrative Support Services interagency group, and the Capital Security Cost Sharing interagency group.
