All of aerospace engineer Jill Prince’s calculations paid off with the successful landing of the Phoenix spacecraft on Mars.
The NASA Langley Research Center employee was in mission control May 25 at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California.
She helped guide the Phoenix lander through the treacherous Martian atmosphere to a picture perfect touch down on the northern polar region of the Red Planet.
