In-Space Propulsion Facility Tour

Witness firsthand NASA’s In-Space Propulsion Facility – the world’s only facility capable of simulating intense spaceflight conditions for advanced space hardware. Inside this 38-by-62-foot chamber, engines and spacecraft experience altitude hot fire tests, low ambient pressures, ranging temperatures, and more climatic extremes that machines may encounter during missions.

The In-Space Propulsion Facility is located at NASA’s Neil Armstrong Test Facility in Sandusky, Ohio. Located on 6,400 acres in the Lake Erie community of Sandusky, Armstrong Test Facility is home to several world-class test facilities that perform complex and innovative ground tests for the international space community.
