White Sands Test Facility maintains a fully equipped 18,000-ft² fabrication facility.
Our Team
Our staff of experienced ASME certified machinists and AWS certified welders work closely with project and test teams such as Component Services, Hypervelocity Impact Testing, Propulsion Systems, Composite Pressure Systems, and Oxygen Systems testing and Analysis.
All of our machines and equipment are calibrated in-house by our Calibration team.
Clean Room Access
Our facility has access to an on-site Class 100 Clean Room.
Conventional Shop Equipment
Conventional shop equipment includes nine lathes and six mills, some of which are dedicated to the manufacture of flight hardware allowing the machines to hold the tight tolerances required for NASA flight hardware.
Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Equipment
Our CNC capabilities including three turning centers (lathes), four machining centers mills, and an Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM). Shop PRO CAD/CAM is used to interface between CNC machines and personal computers
Welding Equipment
Our welding machines include four shop machines, five portable machines (two tungsten inert gas, plasma cutter, arc, two metal inert gas).
Sheet Metal Equipment
Breaks, shears, die cutting /punch press, roll forming, and bead rolling equipment allow us to do all types of sheet metal fabrication.
