AWG Derived Publication Showcased Under NASA Citizen Science

Some of our Microbes AWG members were recognized in a recent NASA article about citizen science. A special shout out to Nicholas Brereton, Emmanuel Gonzalez, and Stefan Green from the OSDR Microbes Analysis Working Group! Over 6 years, this volunteer team mined open-access data and published the groundbreaking study: Spaceflight Alters Host-Gut Microbiota Interactions. Their work is a shining example of collaboration, perseverance, and the power of citizen science to unlock the mysteries of space. Thank you for advancing our understanding of how spaceflight impacts host-microbe interactions and for seeing this remarkable project to completion!
