MASTER Ready for Calibration
The MODIS/ASTER Airborne Simulator (MASTER) spectrometer sits on top of a calibration device called an integrating sphere, getting calibrated between missions. The calibration happens at the Airborne Sensor Facility at NASA's Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, which builds, maintains, miniaturizes, and calibrates instruments.
