Preparing for Takeoff

The NASA B-200 aircraft prepares for takeoff from Southern Sky Aviation in Florida, during the April 2025 FireSense prescribed burn research operation. The aircraft flew numerous flights over a prescribed burn at Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield, using instruments called MASTER (MODIS/ASTER Airborne Stimulator) and FireTIRS to collect data on the burn.
