The “Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) in Space Biology Training” course equips researchers with essential skills to analyze complex biological data using AI and ML techniques, tailored specifically for space biology. Funded by a NASA grant, this self-paced online program combines foundational knowledge in space biology with hands-on experience in data processing, model development, and bioinformatics. The course includes pre-recorded lectures, Python notebooks, and quizzes, covering topics such as space biology fundamentals, data visualization, machine learning models (clustering, regression, classification), and result interpretation using bioinformatic tools and explainable AI. By the end, participants will be prepared to apply AI/ML methodologies to advance space biology research and address complex challenges in space environments. No prerequisites needed for this course.
