Michael Stenger
Element Scientist, Human Health Countermeasures
Michael Stenger previously served as the element scientist for the Research Operations and Integration element of NASA’s Human Research Program.
Prior to becoming an element scientist, Stenger was the director of the NASA Johnson Space Center’s Cardiovascular and Vision Laboratory. There, he led a diverse team investigating cardiovascular and neuro-ocular adaptations to spaceflight.
Stenger received bachelor’s degrees in chemical engineering and chemistry and a doctorate in biomedical engineering from the University of Kentucky in 2005.
