Before AstroZeneca, she worked as the scientific program manager for the Organs-on-Chips initiative at the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences of the National Institute of Health (NIH).

Fabre received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Wyoming, followed by her master’s degree and doctorate degree in cell and molecular biology from Colorado State University. She then served as a postdoctoral fellow in the radiation biology branch at the NIH National Cancer Institute.
