NASA IV&V Student Outreach Program Brings STEM Careers to West Fairmont Middle School

Fairmont, WV – NASA IV&V STUDENT OUTREACH PROGRAM BRINGS STEM CAREERS TO WEST FAIRMONT MIDDLE SCHOOL.

The NASA IV&V Program Student Outreach Manager, Jess White, will bring big ideas and fresh inspiration about careers in Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) to students at West Fairmont Middle School

Ms. Jeanie Dotson’s  6th grade math classes will have the opportunity to discuss with NASA’s Student Outreach Manager all of the ways that they might apply their math skills in exciting careers…especially in careers at NASA. From mechanical and software engineering to scientific research to becoming the nation;s next technology innovators, students will have be encouraged to imagine their future, even as they are encouraged to prepare for that future.

Ms. Dotson’s three sixth grade math classes of approximately 22 students each are scheduled to take place at 8:00 am; 9:30 am; 11:50 am.

NASA IV&V provides for the assurance of the correctness and safety of software for all of NASA’s critical missions, manned and unmanned.
