Mission Equity
NASA’s Mission Equity is a comprehensive effort to assess the expansion and modification of agency programs, procurements, grants, and policies, and examine the potential barriers and challenges that exist for historically underrepresented and underserved communities.
Join NASA Astronauts on Mission Equity
In July 2021, NASA issued a Request for Information (RFI) to receive input from the public on NASA’s mission directorates’ programs, procurements, grants, regulations, and policies. Through the RFI process, NASA initiated vibrant and meaningful dialogue with industry stakeholders to help the agency build and improve current policies, practices, and programs.
NASA has used the insights gathered to evaluate, modify, expand, and streamline its programs, procurements, grants, and policies to help remove inequitable barriers and challenges facing underserved communities.
